Abstract

Close similarities are found in the gross structures of the excitation functions from the elastic scattering of O16 from N14, N15, and O18. The picture emerging from the optical-model analysis of these data is that of an interaction potential which is totally absorbing for the low-l partial waves and which is very transparent for the surface partial waves.
