Abstract

O20 was produced in the reaction O18(O18, O16)O20 and its half-life measured by observing the decay of the 1.06-MeV γ transition in F20 in a Ge-Li counter. The result is t12=13.57±0.1 sec, logft=3.73. Upper limits were obtained for weak β-decay branches of O20 to other states in F20 between Ex=0.984 and 2.195 MeV.
