Elastic and inelastic scattering of 14.1 MeV neutrons from fluorine

Abstract

The angular distributions and cross sections for elastic and inelastic scattering of 14 MeV neutrons from fluorine have been measured. The observed inelastic group has been assigned mainly to the state at 1.56 MeV. The angular distributions generally agree with the predictions of the optical model and the DWBA. The observed cross section for the inelastic group corresponds to a value of |M|2 = 7 in Weisskopf units.
