Abstract

The Tabakin potential and a Serber-Yukawa potential are used to calculate the shell-model wave functions of A = 20 nuclear states with quantum numbers Jπ = 0+, T = 0, Jπ = 0+, T = 1, Jπ = 0+, T = 2 and Jπ = 1+ and T = 1. The former is found to give good fits for the energies. The log ft values for β-decays from 20O to low-lying levels of 20F and M1 decay rates in 20Ne are calculated in reasonable agreement with observed values.
