Abstract
Mixed-parity Hartree-Fock calculations have been performed on the nitrogen and oxygen isotopes using (1) a central Rosenfeld interaction, (2) a Rosenfeld-plus-an-appropriate-tensor interaction, and (3) bare Kuro-Brown matrix elements. It is shown that the results for the interactions (2) and (3) are fairly close. The gain for is found to be larger than either of its isotopes . This is interpreted in terms of the energy gap between the occupied and the unoccupied Hartree-Fock orbitals.
