Abstract

The cross-section for electroexcitation of the giant resonance region in C12 has been measured using incident electron beams of 177 and 250 MeV. The spectrum excited by the Coulomb interaction was quite similar to the result obtained from the C12(γ,n)C11 reaction. The experimental data were compared with the theoretical predictions based on the particle-hole model.
