Gamma Rays from Protons on B10, and the Excitation Energy of the First Excited State of C10

Abstract

The energy of the first excited state of C10 has been measured using the B10(p,nγ)C10 reaction. The excitation energy was found to be 3.3527 MeV, with an error assignment of 1.5 keV. Also reported are excitation energies for the first four excited states of B10.
