Abstract
We describe a promising method for investigating the parentage of nuclear states. It involves the simultaneous observation of () and () reactions on () targets producing analog final states with the same isospin as the target. Experimental results for () reveal a number of states with apparently very simple parentage for which "paired" pickup predominates.
