Abstract

Proton-gamma delayed-coincidence measurements in the reactions 16O(d, pγ)17O, 39K(p, p′γ)39K and 44Ca(d, pγ)45Ca yield half-lives of T12 = 181±5, ≦ 78, and 400±40 ps for the levels 17O(871 keV), 39K(2817 keV) and 45Ca (174 keV), respectively. The first mentioned half-life has been used as a check on the experimental technique; the two other values are discussed in the light of current nuclear models.
