Abstract

Absolute differential cross sections for the reactions 12C(d, p)13C leading to the ground state and the 3.09, 3.68 and 3.85 MeV excited states, 12C(d, α)10B for the ground state and 0.717 MeV residual level and the elastic scattering of deuterons on 12C have been measured for bombarding energies of 5 to 10 MeV. An analysis of these measurements has been performed using the optical model and distorted-wave and Hauser-Feshbach theories.
