Abstract

The 3.68, 3.96, 4.05 and 4.58 MeV levels of 27Al have been studied via angular correlation measurements of the reaction 24Mg(α, pγ)27Al. The results are used in conjunction with previous information on lifetimes and branching ratios to impose limitations on possible spins, parities and multipole mixing ratios. New information on the gamma-ray decay scheme of the 4.58 MeV level is presented.
