Study of Reactions Induced in Be9 by 46-MeV Protons

Abstract

Reactions induced by the bombardment of Be9 by 46-MeV protons have been studied. Angular distributions have been measured for Be9(p,p)Be9 (elastic scattering), Be9(p,p)Be9* (2.43-MeV state), Be9(p,d)Be8 (ground state), Be9(p,d)Be8* (2.90-MeV state), Be9(p,d)Be8* (16.93-MeV state), Be9(p,d)Be8* (17.64-MeV state), Be9(p,d)Be8* (18.15-MeV state), Be9(p,d)Be8* (19.05-MeV state), Be9(p,t)Be7 (ground state), Be9(p,t)Be7* (4.55-MeV state), Be9(p,t)Be7 (6.51-MeV state), and Be9(p,t)Be7* (10.79-MeV state).
