Nuclear fluorescence of the 2.13 MeV state of B11

Abstract

Nuclear fluorescence of the 2.13 MeV state of B11 has been observed using the bremsstrahlung beam from an electron Van de Graaff. Using a self-absorption technique the mean life of this state was determined to be (4.8±0.7) × 10−15 sec.
