Abstract
The energy of the 5.3-MeV gamma ray produced in the beta decay of was measured with a lithiumdrifted germanium detector. An energy of 5.301±0.005 MeV was found. This value is in agreement with the value of 5.299±0.006 MeV found by Alburger, Gallmann, and Wilkinson and verifies the basis of their arguments for the assignment of for the spin and parity of the ground state of . The techniques used in the gamma-ray energy determination are discussed in detail.
