Abstract
The reaction was studied with 3- to 12-MeV protons. Angular distributions were measured at 23 energies. Excitation curves were measured at 70°and 165° over wide energy ranges. The angular distributions show a great variety of shapes, with combinations of forward and backward peaking. The excitation curves have considerable structure, but the structure is not fine enough to be interpreted as individual compound-nucleus levels. Direct-reaction analysis of the angular distributions was only partially successful, indicating that the reaction mechanism is more complicated.
