Abstract

Yield curves have been measured at 45°, 90° and 135° for the reaction T(p,γ)He4 for proton energies from 4 to 11 MeV. No evidence was found for fine structure observed in the inverse reaction He4(γ,p)T. Angular distributions were also measured at several proton energies. The results show that the gamma radiation is principally E1 but with a small E2 component which increases with excitation energy in He4. No evidence was found for interaction in triplet states.
