Abstract

The photographic emulsion technique was employed to study the scattering of 9.5-Mev protons by neon and argon. Energy levels of Ne20 at 1.58, 4.20, 4.95, and 5.62 Mev have been observed as well as of A40 at 1.48 Mev. Angular distributions have been determined for the protons elastically scattered by Ne20 and A40, as well as for the inelastic groups from the 1.58-Mev level of Ne20 and the 1.48-Mev level of A40.
