Abstract
The elastic and inelastic scattering of 9.5-Mev protons by and nuclei has been studied by means of photographic plates. The 4.43-Mev state of , as well as the 6.05-, 6.13-, 6.9-, and 7.1-Mev states of have been observed. The angular distribution of the protons elastically scattered by and has been determined and compared with Rutherford scattering. In the case of the protons inelastically scattered by , the angular distribution shows symmetry around 90°.
