Production of 262Db in the 248Cm(19F, 5n)262Db reaction and decay properties of 262Db and 258Lr

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 248Cm(19F, 5n)262Db, E=97.4, 103.1 MeV; measured production σ of 262Db, correlated α-α and α-SF decay chains using rotating wheel apparatus MANON for α and SF spectrometry at RIKEN facility. Comparison with HIVAP model calculations, and with previous experimental and theoretical results. No observation of 263Db and 259Lr correlated chains through possible 248Cm(19F, 4n) reaction channel.

RADIOACTIVITY 262Db(α), (SF)[from 248Cm(19F, 5n), E=97.4, 103.1 MeV]; 258Lr(α), (EC)[from 262Db α decay]; measured Eα, Iα, half-lives, α-α, α-SF correlations, branching ratios for α, SF and EC modes. Comparison with previous experimental results.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 248Cm(18O, xn)260Rf/261Rf/261mRf/262Rf, E=88.2, 90.2, 94.8, 101.3 MeV; measured reaction products, Eα, Iα, production σ(E), half-lives using GARIS separator at RIKEN Heavy-Ion Linear Accelerator facility. Beam on-off method. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with theoretical predictions using HIVAP computer code.

RADIOACTIVITY 260,261,261m,262Rf(α), (SF)[from 248Cm(18O, xn), E=88.2, 90.2, 94.8, 101.3 MeV]; 257No(α)[from 261Rf α decay]; measured Eα, Iα, α-α correlations, SF-events, half-lives; deduced excitation functions.
