Near-barrier fusion and total reaction of a proton-rich projectile: 3He+58Ni

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 58Ni(3He, X), (3He, 3He), E=10.2, 11.5, 12.7 MeV; measured proton and 3He spectra, σ(θ) at Notre Dame TwinSol facility; deduced integrated proton production σ, reduced fusion σ. Comparison with 58Ni+8Be and 58Ni+16O systems, and with PACE calculations.
