Spin correlation coefficient for proton-3He elastic scattering at 100 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 3He(polarized p, p), E=100 MeV; measured Ep, Ip, angular distributions; deduced elastic scattering σ(θ), spin correlation coefficient. Comparison to 4N-scattering calculations based on the realistic NN potentials CD Bonn and INOY04. Estimated the influence of the Δ-isobar effect inclusion on the correct description of the deduced observables. Polarized 3He target with NaI(Tl) scintillator-plastic scintillator telescopes array at Research Center for Nuclear Physics (RCNP), Osaka University.

Proton-3He elastic scattering at intermediate energies

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 3He(polarized p, p), E=65, 70 MeV; measured E(p), I(p), σ(θ), analyzing powers Ay(θ) of scattered protons using Grand Raiden spectrometer at RCNP, Osaka for E(p)=65 MeV, and using sets of counter telescopes of NaI(Tl) scintillators for E(p)=70 MeV at the Cyclotron Radioisotope Center (CYRIC), Tohoku University; deduced spin correlation coefficient. Comparison with results of previous experiments, and with rigorous four-nucleon scattering calculations based on realistic nuclear potentials and a model with Δ-isobar excitation.
