Flavor-dependent EMC effect from a nucleon swelling model
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40Ca(e, e'), Q2=0.067 GeV2; calculated valence quark distributions of free proton and the bound proton in 40Ca and the EMC effect. 4He, 40Ca, 56Fe, 208Pb(e, e'), Q2=1-1000 GeV2; calculated nuclear effect as function of Q2. 208Pb(e, e'), (polarized e, e'), Q2=5 GeV2; calculated nuclear modification factors of different flavors, a2 term of the analyzing power, traditional DIS and the interference structure function ratios of 208Pb to free nucleons, EMC ratios, and compared with experimental data; analyzed experimental data for ratios between cross sections of different pion-induced Drell-Yan processes. 4He(e, e'3H), (e, e'3He), E not given; calculated spectator-tagged EMC ratios. Flavor-dependent European Muon Collaboration (EMC) effect based on the nIMParton nuclear parton distribution functions. Relevance to future CLAS12 collaboration experiments using a Low Energy Recoil Tracker (ALERT) detector.
