First inverse-kinematics fission measurements in a gaseous active target

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(²³⁸U, F), E=6.55 MeV/nucleon; measured transfer-induced fission, neutron-rich actinides between U and Cm using active target MAYA with eight DSSSDs; deduced complete three-dimensional trajectory reconstruction, TKEL vs θ, excitation energy distribution, E^* vs E(cm), σ(fusion) to σ(transfer-fusion) ratio.
