Competition between Terminating and Collective Structures above Spin 40(h-bar) in ¹⁵⁴Dy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²²Sn(³⁶S, 4n), E=165 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ¹⁵⁴Dy deduced high-spin levels, J, π, configurations, band termination features. Gammasphere array. Comparison with mean-field calculations.
