Quadrupole deformation of 130Xe measured in a Coulomb-excitation experiment

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 94Mo(130Xe, 130Xe'), E=4.195 MeV/nucleon from HIE-ISOLDE-CERN linear accelerator; measured projectile-and target-like particles using a segmented double-sided silicon strip detector (DSSSD), Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ) (particle)γ- and (particle)(particle)γ-coin using Miniball array of 23 HPGe detectors. Measured Coulomb excitation yields analyzed using GOSIA least-squares fitting code. 130Xe; deduced levels, J, π, E2 and M1 matrix elements, B(E2), B(M1), spectroscopic quadrupole moments (Q) for the first 2+ and 4+ states and second 2+ state, and shape parameters for the 0+ ground state. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with several theoretical model calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 130Xe; calculated levels, J, π using general Bohr Hamiltonian with the mean-field theory and Universal Nuclear Energy Density Functional (UNEDF0), shell-model with the GCN50:82 and SN100PN interactions, Davydov-Filippov and γ-soft phenomenological models; calculated quadrupole shape invariants for 0+ ground state and the first 2+ state using general Bohr Hamiltonian (GBH) model. Comparison with experimental data.
