Radial overlap correction to superallowed 0+ → 0+ nuclear β decays using the shell model with Hartree-Fock radial wave functions

Shell model with Hartree-Fock radial wave functions, and several different effective Skyrme interactions, including Coulomb, charge-symmetry-breaking (CSB), and charge-independence-breaking (CIB) terms. Comparison with available experimental data. Relevance to conserved vector current (CVC) hypothesis and Vud matrix element of the Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) quark-mixing matrix.

Discussed isobaric multiplet mass equation (IMME) for A=60, and systematic trend for A=42-62 even-A nuclei. Relevance of 60,61Ga mass measurements for the rp process in x-ray bursts, and for 60Zn waiting point nucleus. 60,61,62,63Ga isotopes produced in Zr(p, X), E=480 MeV, and selectively ionized by TRIUMF's Resonant Laser Ion Source (TRILIS).

High-precision mass measurements of the isomeric and ground states of 44V: Improving constraints on the isobaric multiplet mass equation parameters of the A=44, 0+ quintet

ATOMIC MASSES 44,44mV; measured cyclotron frequencies, mass excesses of ground and isomeric state using the time-of-flight ion cyclotron resonance method with the Penning trap mass spectrometer LEBIT of NSCL-MSU. 44V beam was produced in 9Be(58Ni, X), E=160 MeV/nucleon reaction and purified in the A1900 Fragment Separator. 44V; deduced levels, J, π, energy of the isomeric state, S(p). 44Cr; discussed β+ and proton decay of 44Cr and constraint on its mass. 44V, 44Sc, 44Ti; analyzed coefficients of quadratic isobaric multiplet mass equation (IMME) coefficients, mirror and triplet energy differences of T=1 triplet as a function of spin. A=42-58; analyzed experimental and theoretical coefficients of the lowest triplets in the pf shell for even-A nuclei. Comparison with previous experimental values, and with theoretical predictions.

Comparison with experimental data. Discussed possible role of the three-nucleon forces.

Explained highly retarded proton decay of the IAS in 56Cu. Shell-model calculations using isospin nonconserving Hamiltonians based on the cdGX1A and cdKB3G interactions.
