Mass, Spectroscopy, and Two-Neutron Decay of 16Be

RADIOACTIVITY 16Be(2n) [from 1H(17B, 2p), E=277 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, En, In; deduced resonance energies, J, π, Q-value. Comparison with calculations incorporating the evolution of the wave function during the decay as a genuine three-body process reproduced the principal characteristics of the neutron-neutron energy spectra for both levels, indicating that the ground state exhibits a strong spatially compact dineutron component. The 15 cm thick liquid hydrogen target of MINOS, the BigRIPS fragment separator, the Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory of the RIKEN Nishina Center.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS H(29F, X)27O/28O, E=235 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products; deduced yields. The hydrogen target was surrounded by the MINOS Time Projection Chamber, SAMURAI spectrometer, RIKEN RI Beam Factory.

RADIOACTIVITY 28O(4n), 27O(3n); measured decay products, En, In; deduced decay energy spectra and schemes from the measured momenta using the invariant-mass technique, resonance parameters. Comparison with the large-scale shell-model calculations using the new chiral effective field theory (EEdf3) interaction.

Validation of the 10Be Ground-State Molecular Structure Using 10Be(p, pα)6He Triple Differential Reaction Cross-Section Measurements

Multiple Mechanisms in Proton-Induced Nucleon Removal at ∼ 100 MeV/Nucleon

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(14O, X), E ∼ 100 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products. 13N, 13O; deduced inclusive σ and parallel momentum distributions for proton-induced single proton- and neutron-removal reactions from the neutron-deficient 14O nucleus with large Fermi-surface asymmetry. Comparison with he state-of-the-art reaction models, with nuclear structure inputs from many-body shell-model calculations.

Spectroscopy of 7He using the 9Be(6He, 8Be) transfer reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(6He, 8Be)7He, E=16.8 MeV, [secondary 6He beam was produced in 7Li(p, 2p) by ISOL method]; measured particle spectra, time of flight, two-dimensional energy spectra of a1 and a2 in coincidence mode using annular single-sided silicon detector arrays at Cyclotron Research Center (CRC) in Louvain-la-Neuve; reconstructed relative energy of the two a particles, center-of-mass energy of 6He+n system. 7He; deduced excitation energy spectrum, levels, resonances, J, p, width, spectroscopic factors using R-matrix analysis. Comparison with previous experimental results. 9Be(6Li, 8Be)7Li E=17 MeV; measured a1 and a2 particle spectra, time of flight, two-dimensional energy spectra. 7Li; deduced excitation energy spectrum.
