NUCLEAR REACTIONS 3He(polarized γ, p)2H, E=29 MeV; measured Ep, Ip, p(θ), time-of-flight, spin-dependent asymmetry and total σ using a circularly polarized, monoenergetic γ-ray beam and a longitudinally polarized 3He target, and an array of depleted silicon surface barrier detectors at the High Intensity γ-ray Source (HIγS) facility at TUNL; deduced contribution from the two-body photo-disintegration to the 3He Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn (GDH) integrands, and compared with the state-of-the art three-nucleon system calculations.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(γ, α)8Be, E=9.6 MeV; analyzed experimental data in 2013Zi03 and other studies for the energy, width and decay of the second 2+ Hoyle state; deduced upper limit of direct 3α decay mode of the Hoyle state from the experimental value for the upper limit Γ for the second 2+ Hoyle state at ≈10 MeV, R-matrix analysis, and semiclassical Wenzel-Kramers-Brillouin approach. Comparison with measured experimental upper limit.
