NUCLEAR REACTIONS 88Zr, 88Y(n, γ), E=thermal, [secondary 88Zr beam from 9Be(92Mo, X)88Zr, E=140 MeV/nucleon, and deposited in a water cell]; measured capture σ and resonance integrals by irradiating 88Zr deposited activity at the reactor facilities of the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) and the McClellan Nuclear Research Center (MNRC) of UC-Davis. 9Be(92Mo, X)88Zr, E=140 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction fragments separated by A1900 separator, and detected by particle identification detector (PID) via energy-loss and time-of-flight measurements, finally deposited the secondary beam in the water target irradiation cell of an aqueous harvesting end station, and also deposited in a graphite puck at NSCL-MSU cyclotron facility. 81,82,83,84Rb, 81,84,85,86Sr, 84,85,86m,86,87m,87Y, 86,87,88,89Zr, 89,90,91Nb; measured Eγ, Iγ; deduced production rates in PID detector, and in activity collected in a graphite puck, with dominant component of 88Zr, and 88Y as its decay product.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 249,250,251,252Cf(48Ca, 2n), (48Ca, 3n), (48Ca, 4n), (48Ca, 5n), E*=33-50 MeV; calculated evaporation residual cross sections using from five models for analyzing reactions. 249,250,251Cf(48Ca, xn)294Og, E=252, 258 MeV; Yb(48Ca, xn)216Th/217Th/218Th/219Th/220Th, E=252, 258 MeV; 206Pb(48Ca, 2n)252No, E=252, 258 MeV; measured Eα, Iα and (implants)α correlations, using Dubna Gas Filled Recoil Separator (DGFRS) for recoil separation and double-sided silicon strip detectors for α detection at JINR. Reviewed earlier experiments from 2002 to 2012 for the detection of 294Og nuclide. 295,296Og; predicted production σ, half-life and Eα for the decay of 296Og; discussed future prospects for production of these two nuclides.

Neutron-deficient superheavy nuclei obtained in the 240Pu + 48Ca reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 240Pu(48Ca, 3n), (48Ca, 4n), E=250 MeV; measured evaporation residues (ER), α, and SF fragments, ER-α, α-α, and ER-SF correlated events, reaction σ using Dubna gas-filled recoil separator (DGFRS) at the U-400 cyclotron facility of Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions(FLNR), JINR; deduced three ER-α-SF correlated decay chains decaying from 285Fl to 265Rf, one ER-α-SF decay chain, and 25 short ER-SF decay chains, super-heavy nuclides (SHN). Systematics of production σ for Cf, Cm and Am isotopes in 248Cm, 249Cf(136Xe, xn), 248Cm(86Kr, xn), and 240Pu, 243Am, 248Cm(48Ca, xn) reactions. 240,244mAm, 242mAm, 237,239,241mPu, 238,241,243,244,245,246mAm, 287Fl, 282,283Cn, 279Ds; possible production of mostly the SF activities.

RADIOACTIVITY 285Fl, 281Cn, 277Ds, 273Hs, 269Sg(α); 265Rf(SF)[from 240Pu(48Ca, 3n), E=250 MeV]; measured Eα, ESF, T1/2 from three correlated decay chains; deduced average decay properties, possible indication of decays through different energy levels. 284Fl(SF)[from 240Pu(48Ca, 4n), E=250 MeV]; deduced possible three ER-SF correlated decay chains and estimated half-life.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 243Am(48Ca, 3n)288Mc, E=262 MeV; measured evaporation residues (EVRs) by magnetic rigidities, Eα, SF-like events, decay chains using corner-cube-clover (C3) focal plane detector consisting of silicon-strip detectors surrounded by HPGe clover-type detectors, and DSSSDs for α particles at LBNL cyclotron facility; deduced data for forty-six decay chains from the decay of 288Mc and its α daughter products 284Nh, 280Rg, 276Mt, 272Bh, 268Db, the 268Db decaying by SF events.

RADIOACTIVITY 276Mt, 280Rg(α)[from α decay chain of 288Mc formed in 243Am(48Ca, 3n), E=262 MeV at LBNL cyclotron facility]; measured Eα, Iα, Eγ, Iγ, E(x rays), αγ-, α(x ray)-, γγ-coin, half-lives of 276Mt and 280Rg isotopes. 272Bh, 276Mt; deduced levels, multipolarities, α hindrance factors. GEANT4 simulations of α and photon spectra. No K-x rays were definitely assigned thus uncertain Z identification.
