Neutron scattering from 28Si and 32S from 8.0 to 18.9 MeV, dispersive optical model analyses, and ground-state correlations

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 28Si(n, n), E=15.4, 18.9 MeV; 32S(n, n), E=8.0, 9.9, 11.9, 13.9, 15.4, 16.9, 18.9 MeV; measured E(n), I(n), TOF, σ(E, θ), total σ(E), Ay(θ); deduced optical model potentials parameters by nucleon-nucleus dispersive optical model (DOM) analysis in the continuum and bound-state regions. 28Si(n, n), E=2.45-65.0; 32S(n, n), E=3.0-40.0 MeV; analyzed σ(E, θ) and Ay(θ) data from previous experiments by DOM. 28Si, 32S(n, n), E=2-160 MeV; analyzed total σ(E) by DOM. 28Si, 32S; deduced neutron and proton binding energies, occupation probabilities, root-mean-square radii, spectroscopic factors, and compared with variational multiparticle multihole configuration mixing (mp-mh CM) shell-model calculation using the Gogny D1S effective force.
