Proton Elastic Scattering from ⁷Be at Low Energies

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹H(⁷Be, ⁷Be), E < 25.5 MeV; measured back-angle recoil proton spectra, σ(θ). ⁷Be(p, p), E=1-3.3 MeV; deduced excitation function. ⁸B deduced levels, J, π. Predicted 1⁺ state in ⁸B not found, astrophysical implication discussed. Thick target technique.
