Comparison with theoretical calculations using NON-SMOKER Hauser-Feshbach statistical model, and REACLIB and STARLIB library rates.

Measurement of radiative proton capture on 18F and implications for oxygen-neon novae reexamined

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(18F, γ)19Ne, E=0.717 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 18F beam at ISAC-TRIUMF by 500 MeV proton beam incident on a silicon carbide target]; measured reaction products, extracted and ionized in a FEBIAD ion source, and filtered with a high-resolution mass separator, particle spectra using DRAGON recoil separator. 19Ne; deduced levels, resonances, 665-keV resonance strength, Γγ, resonant contributions to reaction rates as a function of temperature in the peak nova range; calculated reaction rates for T9=0.03 to 0.5. R-matrix analysis.
