Reaction mechanisms of the 160 + 65Cu system

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 65Cu(16O, X), (16O, 16O), E=30.0-48.0 MeV; 16O(65Cu, 69Ga)12C, E=30.0-48.0 MeV; measured projectile-like fragments (PLFs), σ(E, θ), quasielastic barrier distributions using E-ΔE proportional telescope for particle detection at the Sao Paulo University Pelletron Accelerator Facility; analyzed previous experimental results for excitation functions and quasielastic barrier distributions in 63Cu(16O, X), (18O, X) and 65Cu(16O, X) reactions. Comparison with large-scale coupled-channel, and coupled-reaction-channel calculations.

Strong neutron-transfer coupling effects in the reaction mechanism of the 18O + 64Zn system at energies near the Coulomb barrier

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 64Zn(18O, 18O'), (18O, 16O)66Zn, (18O, 17O)65Zn, (18O, 15N)67Ga, (18O, 14N)68Ga, E=30-45 MeV; measured reaction products using a gas E-ΔE Si detector at the Pelletron laboratory of the University of Sao Paulo; deduced quasielastic σ(E) and barrier distribution (QEBD), σ(Ex) for states in 66Zn, 67Ga, 68Ga for the 2n-, α-, and triton-transfer reactions, respectively. 64Zn(16O, 16O'), (16O, X), (17O, 17O'), (17O, X), E=30-45 MeV; analyzed data for quasielastic σ(E) and barrier distributions. Comparison with coupled reaction channel (CRC) calculations.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 63Cu(18O, 18O), (18O, 17O), (18O, 16O), (18O, 19F), (18O, 14C), E=30.0-48.0 MeV; measured reaction products, σ(E) for quasielastic and for 2n-, p- and α-transfer channels using ΔE-E telescopes at the Pelletron Laboratory of the University of Sao Paulo; deduced quasielastic barrier distributions, and that two-neutron transfer process much more relevant than the one-neutron-transfer process; calculated spectroscopic amplitudes using large-scale shell-model. Comparison of σ(E) data with coupled channel (CC) and coupled reaction channel (CRC) calculations using FRESCO code.

Backscattering measurement of 6He on 209Bi: Critical interaction distance

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 209Bi(6He, 6He), E=12, 14, 16 MeV, [secondary 6He beam from 2H(7Li, 6He), E=32 MeV]; measured 6He spectra using silicon ΔE-E telescope, σ(θ, E) at the TwinSol facility of Notre Dame Nuclear Structure Laboratory; deduced ratio of elastic to Rutherford cross sections. Comparison with a three-body CDCC calculation, and with experimental data for 209Bi(α, α), (6Li, 6Li), (9Be, 9Be), (12C, 12C), (16O, 16O), and 208Pb(6He, 6He) reactions.
