NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb(⁴⁸Ca, X)⁵⁶Cr/⁵⁸Cr, E=305 MeV; ²³⁸U(⁴⁸Ca, X)⁵⁶Cr/⁵⁸Cr/⁶⁰Cr, E=330 MeV; ¹⁴C(⁴⁸Ca, 2p), (⁴⁸Ca, 2nα), E=130 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ, γγ-coin. ^56,58,60Cr deduced levels, J, π, configurations. Comparison with model predictions.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴C(⁴⁸Ca, nα), E=130 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (recoil)γ-coin. ⁵⁷Cr deduced high-spin levels, J, π, configurations. Gammasphere array, mass separator.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ^55,57,59Cr; analyzed levels; deduced deformation, core polarization effects. Total Routhian surface calculations.
