Triaxial shape coexistence and new aligned band in 178Os

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 165Ho(20Ne, p6n), E=150 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, DCO, and linear polarizations. 178Os; deduced levels, J, π, bands, multipolarities, and configurations. Comparison with projected angular momentum deformed Hartree-Fock and cranked Woods-Saxon model calculations.
