Investigating γ-ray decay of excited 12C levels with a multifold coincidence analysis

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(p, p'), E=24 MeV; 12C(α, α'), E=64 MeV; measured E(p), I(p), E(α), I(α), recoiling 12C, Eγ, Iγ, pγ- and αγ-coin, (particle)γ(θ) using 4π CHIMERA multidetector of 1192 Si-CsI(Tl) telescopes to detect charged particles and γ rays at INFN-LNS-Catania. 12C; deduced levels, Hoyle state, decay probabilities, 3-α decay channel, 2γ-ray decay probability yield of the 9.64-MeV level in 12C, small γ-ray decay branches by using the complete redundant measurement (CRM) method. Comparison with previous experimental results.
