High-Lying Proton Strengths Observed in Stripping Reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴⁴Sm(α, t), E=80 MeV; ¹⁴⁴Sm(³He, d), E=240 MeV; measured σ(θ), σ(Et), σ(Ed). ¹⁴⁵Eu deduced broad structures, Γ, L, J, π, C²S, h_9/2, i_13/2 proton strength distribution. Zero-range DWBA analysis.
