Measurement of the scintillation and ionization response of liquid xenon at MeV energies in the EXO-200 experiment

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 136Xe(γ, X), E=1173, 1332, 1764, 2615 keV; measured scintillation and ionization yield, anticorrelated number of electrons and photons, charge and light yields in the liquid Xe (LXe) EXO-200 detector; provided a semiempirical model consistent with the energy resolution measured in EXO-200 data at a variety of electric fields. Relevance to the performance of future neutrinoless double β-decay and other rare event detectors.
