Spectroscopy of 7He using the 9Be(6He, 8Be) transfer reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(6He, 8Be)7He, E=16.8 MeV, [secondary 6He beam was produced in 7Li(p, 2p) by ISOL method]; measured particle spectra, time of flight, two-dimensional energy spectra of a1 and a2 in coincidence mode using annular single-sided silicon detector arrays at Cyclotron Research Center (CRC) in Louvain-la-Neuve; reconstructed relative energy of the two a particles, center-of-mass energy of 6He+n system. 7He; deduced excitation energy spectrum, levels, resonances, J, p, width, spectroscopic factors using R-matrix analysis. Comparison with previous experimental results. 9Be(6Li, 8Be)7Li E=17 MeV; measured a1 and a2 particle spectra, time of flight, two-dimensional energy spectra. 7Li; deduced excitation energy spectrum.

Shape study of the N = Z nucleus 72Kr via β decay

RADIOACTIVITY 72Kr(β+), (EC)[from Nb(p, X), E=1.4 GeV at ISOLDE-CERN]; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, total absorption spectrum (TAS), β(TAS)-coin, using Lucrecia TAS detection system at CERN; deduced β++ϵ intensity distribution as function of excitation energy of 72Br, B(GT) distribution, shape coexistence, nuclear deformation. Comparison with QRPA and shell-model calculations. Comparison of relative intensities of γ-transitions from TAS analysis with those measured with HPGe coaxial detector and previous results from high-resolution spectroscopy.
