γ-ray spectroscopy of the A=23 T=1/2 nuclei 23Na and 23Mg: High-spin states, mirror symmetry, and applications to nuclear astrophysical reaction rates

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(12C, p), E=16 MeV; 12C(12C, n), E=22 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), level half-lives by DSAM using Gammasphere array at ATLAS-ANL facility. 23Na, 23Mg; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, multipolarity, mirror energy differences, proton unbound states. Comparison to Shell-model calculations using PSPDF interaction. 22Ne(p, γ)23Mg; 22Ne(p, γ)23Na; discussed proton unbound states, Gamow window and impact on astrophysical applications.
