New measurement of the 3He(α, γ)7Be cross section at medium energies

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(3He, γ)7Be, E=2507, 4010, 5312 keV; measured 7Be recoils, Eγ, Iγ, (recoil)γ-correlated events, σ, astrophysical S34(E) factor using activation method. Relevance to solar neutrino flux and the primordial 7Li abundance. Comparison with several previous measurements including ERNA data, and some theoretical calculations.

Breakup of 12C resonances into three α particles

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 11B(3He, d), E=8.5 MeV; measured Eα, Iα, α-α coin. 12C; deduced levels, resonances, J, π, decays through 8Be, simulations of the Dalitz distributions based on four different theoretical models. Discussed mechanisms of sequential, democratic and three body decay modes of 12C resonances.
