First Measurement of β-Decay Properties of the Proton Drip-Line Nucleus ⁶⁰Ga

RADIOACTIVITY ⁶⁰Ga(β⁺), (β⁺p) [from ²⁸Si(³⁶Ar, 2p2n), E=170 MeV]; measured βγ-, βp-, βα-coin, Eγ, β-delayed proton spectrum, T_1/2, decay scheme, β-delayed proton and α branching ratios, mass excess, proton andα Q-values. ⁶⁰Zn deduced levels, J, π. Comparison with neighboring nuclei and Shell model calculations. Implications for rp process discussed.
