PCNuDat

Database Version of March 17, 2004

The program PCNuDat is no longer being maintained and there will be no further updates to its databases.

PCNuDat is an MS Windows version of the NNDC database NuDat. It consists of nuclear ground- and metastable-state, decay data, adopted level and gamma, and thermal neutron properties. All files, except for the README's, are binary and should be loaded to your local disk. The file ndt28_32.exe (Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP) is self-extracting and consists of the latest version of the program and a sample data base consisting of the information for A=40 to 50 and other database files. See readme.pcnudat for additional downloading instructions and installation details.

The databases were updated on March 17, 2004. To update an existing PCNuDat database:

  1. Transfer the four zip files (LEVELS.ZIP, GAMMAS.ZIP, RADTIONS.ZIP, and OTHERDB.ZIP) to your PC.
  2. Unzip the four zip files to your PCNUDAT directory (i.e. \PCNUDAT\DB) and they will overwrite the following files:
    LEVELSDB
    RADTIONSDB
    LEVELSIDX
    RADTIONSIDX
    GAMMASDB
    PDATESDB
    GAMMASIDX
    PDATESIDX
    NUCLEIDB
    SIGMADB
    NUCLEIIDX
    SIGMAIDX
    MASSHLP
    DATABASEVER

The NuDat2 database is also directly accessible from the World Wide Web.
