Current Status

  1. With the exception of ENSDAT and RadList all ANSI, Open-VMS, Linux, and MS Windows versions are current with those maintained in-house at the NNDC.
  2. All analysis and utility codes have been converted to FORTRAN 95 (C.L. Dunford)
    1. NSDFLIB and RULER distributed
    2. Further in-house testing before distribution of remaining programs
    3. Compaq/Digital Visual FORTRAN for Windows; Lahey/Fujitsu FORTRAN 95 for Linux; and Digital Fortran 90 for OpenVMS
  3. Code Revisions (See the relevant "Read Me's" for additional details):
  4. BrIcc (Band-Raman Internal Conversion Coefficients) developed and a beta release was distributed to ENSDF evaluators for testing (T. Kibédi, ANU; T.W. Burrows, BNL; M.B. Trzhaskovskaya, PNPI; & C.W. Nestor, Jr., ORNL). Details of this development will be presented at the 2004 USNDP meeting.

  5. In Progress and Future Plans

    1. GAMUT:
The last working VMS version of GAMUT has been converted to MS Windows by Dr. Choi while on sabbatical leave from Seoul National University. Remaining work to be done before release is:
      1. Extensive testing
      2. Upgrade to current ENSDF formats and standards
      3. Porting to Linux and OpenVMS
    2. GTOL:
Apparent machine dependent precision problem needs to be corrected.
    3. HSICC:
Problem in creating new records when a gamma energy lay below a subshell binding energy corrected. Needs testing before distribution.
    4. LOGFT:
The logic from the LBNL program ft has been incorporated into LOGFT to calculate 3rd and higher order unique forbidden transitions. Extensive testing and comparison with the LBNL programs beta and ft still remains before release.

The program currently assumes that the theoretical values used in calculating the electron-capture fractions have no uncertainties, resulting in an underestimate of the electron-capture fractions uncertainty. This will be corrected using the data of Schönfeld.
    5. RadList:
Calculation of subshell conversion- and Auger-electron and X-ray intensities will be added and the calculation of continua spectra improved. Logic to properly calculate the beta spectra for 3rd and higher order unique forbidden transitions will be added after the new version of LOGFT is released.

Note: In calender year 2005, maintenance of OpenVMS versions will cease.

    Tables

FMTCHK  1. Modified logic in CHKE in attempt to handle IB, IE, and TI with no uncertainties.
    2. Corrected problems in CHKI when validating PUB field.
    3. Changed ZERO ENERGY GAMMA FOUND from <W> to <E>.
    4. Added checks for blank Egamma in Chkdex to avoid fatal error.
    5. Modified logic in Ckflval to be more tolerant of inconsistencies between FL and EL-EG.
