Relativistic Coulomb excitation of 88Kr

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 197Au(88Kr, 88Kr'), E=128 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 88Kr beam from 9Be(238U, F), E=650 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fragments using FRS separator at GSI]; measured scattered particles, Eγ, (particle)γ-coin using PreSPEC Ge-detector array of EUROBALL Cluster for γ detection and Lund-York-Cologne Calorimeter (LYCCA) for ion detection. 88Kr; deduced levels, B(E2) and B(M1) for second and third 2+ states, mixed-symmetric nature of the third 2+ state. Comparison with IBM-2 model calculations. Systematics of energies, B(E2) and B(M1) for the first and third 2+ states for 88Kr, 90Sr, 92Zr, 94Mo, 96Ru, 98Pd.

Quadrupole collectivity beyond N = 50 in neutron-rich Se and Kr isotopes

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 209Bi(88Kr, 88Kr'), E=67 MeV/nucleon; 209Bi(90Kr, 90Kr'), E=68 MeV/nucleon; 209Bi(86Se, 86Se'), E=79 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 88,90Kr, 86Se beams from 9Be(96Zr, X), E=120 MeV/nucleon using A1900 fragment separator at the NSCL-MSU Cyclotron Laboratory]; measured reaction products and particle identification plot, Doppler-corrected Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin, σ, using the CAESAR array of 192 CsI(Na) scintillators. 88,90Kr, 86Se; deduced levels, J, π, Coulomb excitation yields, B(E2) for excited 2+ states. Comparison with shell-model calculations. 88,90Kr, 86Se; calculated shell-model occupations of the proton and neutron orbitals for the observed levels. Systematics of B(E2) values for the first 2+ states in N=36-60 Kr and Se nuclei.
