Investigation of different possible excitation modes in neutron-rich 78As

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 76Ge(α, np)78As, E=30, 35, 40 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, excitation functions, γγ(θ)(DCO), γγ(linear polarization) using INGA array of six Compton-suppressed HPGe Clover detectors and one LEPS detector at the K-130 cyclotron facility of VECC-Kolkata. 78As; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities, dipole bands, B(E2), B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, configurations, possible stapler structure of the dipole bands; calculated total Routhian surfaces for the dipole bands. Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations using JUN45 and jj44b interactions.
