In-source laser spectroscopy of ^{75, 77, 78}Cu: Direct evidence for a change in the quasiparticle energy sequence in ^{75, 77}Cu and an absence of longer-lived isomers in ⁷⁸Cu

NUCLEAR MOMENTS ^{59,63,75,77,78}Cu; measured hyperfine structure factors, isotope shifts using in-source laser spectroscopy technique at ISOLDE-CERN facility; deduced magnetic dipole moments and nuclear spins of ^75,77,78Cu. Systematics of magnetic dipole moments of A=57-78 copper isotopes. Comparisons with shell-model calculations. Observed collapsed hyperfine structure for ⁷⁸Cu. No evidence of long-lived isomers in ^77,78Cu from observed hyperfine structures.
