RADIOACTIVITY 73,74,75Co, 75,76,77,78Ni, 76,77,78,79,80Cu, 79,80,81Zn, 81,82Ga(β-), (β-n)[from Be(86Kr, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon]; measured β spectra, βn-coin, neutron spectra, half-lives, delayed neutron-emission probabilities; calculated half-lives, P(n) using QRPA, CQRPA and OXBASH shell model. Discussed effects on various types of models for the rapid neutron-capture process (r-process) in nucleosynthesis. A=1-210; calculated abundances with classical r-process and HEW models using known decay data. 78Ni(β-); calculated Gamow-Teller strengths, effect on abundances.

In-source laser spectroscopy of 75, 77, 78Cu: Direct evidence for a change in the quasiparticle energy sequence in 75, 77Cu and an absence of longer-lived isomers in 78Cu
NUCLEAR MOMENTS 59,63,75,77,78Cu; measured hyperfine structure factors, isotope shifts using in-source laser spectroscopy technique at ISOLDE-CERN facility; deduced magnetic dipole moments and nuclear spins of 75,77,78Cu. Systematics of magnetic dipole moments of A=57-78 copper isotopes. Comparisons with shell-model calculations. Observed collapsed hyperfine structure for 78Cu. No evidence of long-lived isomers in 77,78Cu from observed hyperfine structures.
