Updated β-decay measurement of neutron-rich 74Cu

RADIOACTIVITY 74Cu(β-)[from U(p, F), E=54 MeV at the Holifield Radioactive Ion Beam Facility HRIBF-ORNL]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin, γγ-coin and βγγ-coin. 74Zn; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logft, simulations of total absorption γ spectrum (TAGS) from the γ-ray data, and pandemonium effect in 74Cu to 74Zn decay. Comparison with previous experimental values, and with shell model predictions.

First Evidence of Axial Shape Asymmetry and Configuration Coexistence in 74Zn: Suggestion for a Northern Extension of the N=40 Island of Inversion

RADIOACTIVITY 74Cu(β-) [from Ta(p, X)74Cu, E=490 MeV]; measured decay products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies and relative intensities, energy levels, J, π, relative B(E2), ground state enhanced axial shape asymmetry (triaxiality). Comparison with available data, with shell-model calculations (SM) and shell-model calculations in a deformed Hartree-Fock basis (DNO-SM). The GRIFFIN γ-ray spectrometer, TRIUMF-ISAC1 facility.
