Clarification of large-strength transitions in the β decay of 11Be

RADIOACTIVITY 11Be(β-), (β-α)[from Ta(p, X), E=1.4 GeV, followed by surface ionization and selection of the reaction products in the resonant ionization laser ion source (RILIS) and separation in the general purpose mass separator at ISOLDE-CERN facility]; measured β-delayed Eα and Iα using double-sided silicon strip detector for ion implantation and α detection; deduced β--delayed α branching ratio, Gamow-Teller matrix elements, B(GT), logft, and resonant strength by R-matrix analysis of the β-delayed α spectrum. 7Li; deduced levels, J, π, large overlaps between the two states in 7Li and the ground state of 11Be. Comparison with previous experimental results.
